SEATTLE, WASHINGTON (January, 5 2005) AMVC.com today announced that it has purchased all-world rights to the entire line of FratBoy Videos, an amateur gay video production company. When asked why he was selling his business, the former owner said, “I’m moving on to bigger and better things.”
Included in the purchase were approximately 34 gay videos and one straight video, which were already exclusively distributed by AMVC.com, and one unreleased gay video. The purchase price was for an undisclosed amount.
“This is one of my favorite producers,” says AMVC.com co-owner Allen McNulty. “We’re extremely sad that FratBoy Amateur Videos will not have any new films after we release the remaining footage,” says McNulty, “but we understand the former owner’s reasons and wish him the best in all his future endeavors. We’re about to launch our new straight video label entitled “Love Shack Videos” and we think that straight video will fit well under that label,” he adds. The gay videos will remain labeled as FratBoy Videos.
“After buying Eden Pictures a couple of weeks ago, this is the second line of videos we’ve acquired within the last month,” notes McNulty. He adds, “We’ve recently begun an aggressive marketing plan that includes streaming and wholesale. As a part of this plan, we intend to include all of these recently purchased videos, our own productions, and the videos of the producers on our site who’ve given us third-party marketing rights. Our goal is to make money for everyone doing business with AMVC.com as well continue our branding and marketing strategies, one of which is getting our producer’s videos out to the public via every venue we feel will be beneficial.
